      FX methodology

      Spot USD = local list price ÷ the latest month’s rate (units per USD). Rates are pulled daily from ExchangeRate-API’s open endpoint and the latest value per month is kept, giving a six-month window for volatility. Prices billed in USD (App Store Argentina, Steam’s US-dollar regions, the US Cursor web row) are not converted.

      PPP value = local price ÷ IMF implied PPP conversion rate (local currency per international dollar). The price-level ratio (PPP rate ÷ market FX) shows how far market exchange rates understate local purchasing power. Work hours use World Bank GNI per capita ÷ 2,000 working hours.
