Store region checklist
From Apple’s and Google’s help pages on changing country. Store terms tie an account’s country to where you live.
- 1Apple: spend any remaining Apple Account balance and cancel subscriptions that block a country change, then wait for them to end. Memberships, pre-orders, rentals and pending refunds must clear too.
- 2Apple: Family Sharing members might not be able to change country or region.
- 3iOS: Settings › [your name] › Media & Purchases › View Account › Country/Region › Germany. Apple may ask for a payment method for Germany.
- 4Google Play: a new country needs you to be in that country with a payment method from it; changes are limited to one every 90 days and are not possible for Google Family group members.
- 5Google Play: balance stays with the old country, and existing subscriptions keep billing the old payment profile until cancelled.
